The Big Mic Ball
A throwable microphone that turns conference Q&A from a queue at the lectern into something the audience actually enjoys.
What it is
The Big Mic Ball is a soft, foam-cube microphone designed to be thrown around an audience. It’s used at conferences, panel discussions, town halls, training events and any setting where the moderator wants the floor open without the queue at the lectern slowing the conversation down.
We invented it because we kept running events where the Q&A section died on its feet — too formal, too slow, too easy for the loudest voice to dominate. The Mic Ball fixes the problem with a piece of foam and a microphone capsule.
Why it works at conferences
It opens the floor
The barrier to a question stops being “can I get to the lectern?” and becomes “do I want to catch the ball?” That changes who participates.
It lifts the energy
Throwing a microphone makes a Q&A section feel like a conversation, not a courtroom. Audience energy goes up. So does the willingness to ask the slightly braver question.
It’s safe and properly built
Foam cube, professional-grade radio mic capsule inside, RF performance rated for conference venues. Safe to throw, easy to catch, properly broadcast-clean audio.
